I recently had the privilege of attending my son’s graduation from Middlebury College. Witnessing his excitement, coupled with the natural trepidation of entering a new chapter, reminded me of the significant transitions we all face in life, both personally and professionally.

This moment reminded me of the quote: “Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” Lao Tzu

As we approach the halfway point of 2024, I encourage you to reflect on your own new beginnings or small steps you can take for growth.

On another note, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such dedicated colleagues like yourselves.  Your contributions as Committee Chairs, Committee and Task Force members, and partners are invaluable to the Giving Institute’s success.

National Conversation Taskforce: The Generosity Commission’s report on volunteerism and generosity is due in September. A dedicated task force, led by Page Bullington and 14 other members, will develop a nationwide dissemination plan.
