April Chair Letter

Dear Giving Institute Members,Ted Grossnickle

Just got back from AFP ICON in Toronto and I was truly inspired! Seeing over 3,200 changemakers from around the world – many from Giving Institute member firms – was a powerful reminder of our collective impact on global generosity. The Giving Institute and Giving USA Foundation’s thought leadership plays a vital role in driving positive transformation across the sector.

It was a privilege to be reminded of the incredible organizations we partner with – the ones truly changing the world. The eagerness of attendees to learn new approaches for diversifying funding, engaging donors, and building connections was truly gratifying.

Together, we’re part of a fabric that fosters vibrant, resilient communities with opportunities for all. We’re excited to contribute further with upcoming research – the 2024 Giving USA release in June and the Generosity Commission Report this Fall. The Giving Institute and Giving USA Foundation are forming a task force to amplify a national conversation about the intersection of generosity and volunteerism. If you’re interested in joining, the National Conversation Task Force please reach out to me, Josh, or Erin.

On behalf of the Membership Committee, let’s extend a heartfelt welcome to new member firms: Foster Avenue+Ovrture, Hallett Philanthropy, Spark Point Fundraising and Zuri Group.

Don’t miss the 2024 Summer Symposium in Philadelphia on July 16-19! Nikkii Kashub, Sarah Clough, and their committee are planning an exceptional event. Network, learn about industry trends, and grow your business. Register now!

Lastly, a huge thank you to all our Committee leads and members for their dedication to taking the Giving Institute to the next level!

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Philly!

Brenda
