What happens when a researcher with deep roots in nonprofit practice receives the Global Philanthropy Fellowship and the rare opportunity to collaborate with one of the world’s leading philanthropy research institutions? In this webinar, Dr. Dana R.H. Doan, 2025-2026 Global Philanthropy Fellow, shares reflections and early findings from a fellowship year spanning six continents, multiple research collaborations, and a growing global network of scholars and practitioners. From mapping what opens and closes philanthropic environments around the world to contextualizing philanthropy research across languages and cultures in Asia, Dana will share what she is learning about how research and practice can inform and strengthen each other for mutual benefit.
