Dear The Giving Institute members,
Happy New Year! I hope you’ve returned to your routine rested and rejuvenated after the holiday break. January is a time to look ahead, create strategic plans, and set or embark upon goals for the coming year. As you make those plans, be sure to include The Giving Institute and Giving USA Foundation, because 2020 promises learning together, continued collaboration among member firms, and innovative research in philanthropy.
At The Giving Institute and Giving USA Foundation, we’re not only preparing for the year ahead, but will begin strategic planning that will determine where our two organizations will go in the next three to five years. I’d like our members to start thinking about what you hope to aim for and achieve in coming years – and that might certainly be a higher set of goals than we’ve attempted in the past. We’ll talk more about that planning at the March Meeting in Columbus, Ohio on March 12-13. I hope you’ll join us for board and committee meetings, educational sessions, and a group dinner. Registration is now open. Let us know if you can attend and be sure to make your hotel reservations by February 19.
Best wishes for a very successful year with continued impact and meaningful work with our clients. I’m looking forward to growing our membership, making new connections, and breaking new ground in the world of philanthropy.
Sincerely,
Ted Grossnickle
