It’s less than three weeks until we convene for the Summer Symposium in Boston, which looks to be a terrific program. We have had such a tremendous response to this year’s Symposium that we have actually sold out of our block of rooms at the W. However, there are some great hotels within walking distance. So, if you have not yet booked a room at the W, please get in touch with Rachel Walsh at rwalsh@thesentergroup.com or 312.981.6776, and she can assist you in finding a hotel nearby.

In addition to our attendees from our member firms, we have 11 people from nonmember firms attending as a testament to our Golden Ticket program. A special THANK YOU to everyone who reached out and offered a Golden Ticket to a colleague. As you all know, the Symposium is our premier event of the year and our very best opportunity to show these prospective members and our new members who will be attending for the first time, the value of Giving Institute membership. 

Although the programming concludes on Saturday, I hope everyone is planning to stay Saturday night for the cocktails and clam bake that will take place on a yacht as we cruise the Charles River and Inner Harbor. This is a great opportunity to view Boston at night from the water. A unique vantage point.

Finally, this will be my last meeting as your Chair. I know some of you are literally saying “finally.” It has been a pleasure to serve you all this past couple of years and I look forward to not doing anything at all going forward.
