Dear Giving Institute members,
I hope this message finds you well, in this season of graduations and celebrations. And I also sincerely hope that you have registered for Summer Symposium, which I expect to be a highlight of my own summer travels. Speaking of the Symposium, as a part of our plans to inspire deep discussions on the future of philanthropy, the committee has been working hard to ensure we include diverse viewpoints both in our program offerings and the people we invite to join us. With this goal in mind, we have created a new initiative that allows members of The Giving Institute to nominate influential people to attend as a “Thought Leader” and receive a discount on registration. Unlike the Golden Ticket invitations, these leaders do not need to meet membership criteria in order to be invited. Thought Leaders could be heads of professional associations such as Mike Geiger, the CEO of AFP, who has already accepted my invitation. We have room for four more and what to know if you have someone in mind who would enrich the experience. Complete the nomination form today and submit it via email and you’ll help us include more people whose participation will bring significant value to our conversations.
As a reminder, please plan on attending the June 6 member briefing to get your first view of this year’s Giving USA results (under embargo) and understand how to talk about the findings in the context of what is certainly a changing environment. The team will be providing you with launch materials and guidance that will help your firm make the most of this much-anticipated annual release. Please make sure you keep the Sentergroup team updated on any plans you have for launch, as well, so they can track the broad reach of our collective efforts.
