In the months since my last letter, our members continued their work to make The Giving Institute meaningful to you in your work for your clients. It’s more important than ever to continue to provide you resources and opportunities to share your thought leadership as we help clients perform their missions.
I’d like to thank Ben Golding and the Program & Education Committee for planning a thought-provoking series of free virtual events for our member firms centered around urgently important topics. In September, we presented the webinar, “What If I Say the Wrong Thing? Addressing Racism and a Lack of Diversity in Our Sector,” a continuation of one of the presentations from our virtual Summer Symposium.
Our next webinar, “Cultivating Openness to Diversity of Thought,” takes place on Friday, October 23 and will feature a discussion on how to find common ground with other firms, clients, and donors. Additionally, remember to add our virtual November Meeting on November 10-11 to your calendar. During the board meetings, we’ll hear results from our member survey, (the most comprehensive one in many years) that help to guide our strategic planning, membership, marketing, finances, and future Summer Symposiums. The schedule also includes Lightning Round sessions and a virtual Happy Hour. Meeting access links will be sent via email closer to the event.
